Did you know that in the U.S., “Michael” has only fallen out of the top five most popular names once since 1953? Once! So, it comes as no surprise that many of the things we enjoy today are thanks, at least in part, to the Mikes of the world – and music is no exception.
Think about it: How many bands have a Mike belting it out on vocals? Or emcees who started out as a Michael? Or the Mikas, Miguels and Micks who grace our record collections?
So, we did some digging, and, as it turns out – there’s a lot of danged Mikes rocking the mic. Which – you’re welcome – we lovingly assembled into a playlist.
