I work as a certified dental assistant at Kenosha Community Health Center. As a community center, we have remained open to the community serving the low-income, uninsured, and state-insured patients.
We have be seeing patients for emergency dental services since the start of the pandemic. Dental tops the list of the top five most dangerous jobs right now. When the private practices in the areas are closed, we are there for the needs of the community. We are opened 12 hours daily to serve the needs of people.
KCHC has a mobile medical unit that is stationed at GTC as a mobile testing sites for COVID-19. There is no referral or insurance needed. Our medical team is out daily, greeting and testing concerned patients and their families.
We have medical, behavior health and case workers to serve the community.
