When we couldn’t celebrate our 8th grade students’ graduation with a ceremony at school, we thought of the next best thing! Several teachers got together (with masks of course) to work with our art teacher to create a mural on a school wall on the outside of our building. Our art teacher painted the outline and letters, and the students’ teacher painted each student’s name! We are hoping to spread joy and acknowledge the good work of our 8th grade students at West Milwaukee Intermediate School! We also made lawn signs that we dropped off at each student’s home! We hope to make their graduation from 8th grade special despite the circumstances! Go class of 2024!
