We weren’t going to miss the experience of meeting our first grandchild in the hospital!
Luckily their room was on the first floor. So all four grandparents bundled up warm, drove to the back of hospital, and marched up to the window where Daddy was waving. The proud new dad phoned us outside the window and we put it on speaker so we could chat and hear our beautiful granddaughter complain when her pacifier fell out. 🙂
New mom and baby wore a matching robe and blanket ensemble! So adorable. Not the usual way, but a memory we will all cherish. Technology and good old fashioned ingenuity sure helped us make lemonade!
