As coronavirus became more of a threat to our community, a Facebook page called “Kenosha Cares” quickly formed under admin, Holly. Holly and friends have been asking for donations and pouring their energy and resources into making masks, disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer for the community. They spend time at local areas to hand out these donations to people in need. I was able to get masks for my parents in Sheboygan, who had lots of trouble finding any. My mother has multiple sclerosis and couldn’t go out for over three weeks. She finally made it to the store thanks to my shipment of two masks from Holly and team. Kenosha Cares has started a GoFundMe to raise money to provide supplies and cloth masks to local nursing homes, assisted living centers, hospitals and our community. Thank you, Kenosha Cares!
