Scout Troop Camps For A Cause
Shared by: Amy Schwabe
Scout Troop 762/6762 out of West Bend will be camping for a cause the weekend of April 24-25. The Moose Lodge of West Bend (the troop’s charter organization) has been receiving donations for lunches to be given out to the community. To date, I think there have been 2,000 lunches handed out. Scout Troop 762/6762 has been collecting food for the effort.
Since the start of the safer at home order, the troop has been holding Google Hangout meetings with upwards of 55-60 scouts and adults. That in itself is an amazing feat! Now they will hold a virtual camp out to raise funds for the Moose Lodge’s lunch program. This weekend they will be camp with their families in their backyards and connect online for a Google Hangout campfire program. Each scout and adult will pay $1, with funds being matched by many families to help continue the Moose Lodge’s lunches.
I’m so proud of the collaboration and work done by so many individuals, the troop and organization!
